The business combines technical expertise, project management and service delivery capabilities to provide comprehensive mechanical building services solutions tailored to customers' operational requirements.

Why We Acquired Climatix

The acquisition of Climatix formed part of Wolfgang Capital's wider strategy to expand its presence within the building services engineering sector. Climatix offered an opportunity to establish a stronger presence in Yorkshire, supporting the growing demand for specialist mechanical building services.

With an experienced management and engineering team and established technical capabilities, Climatix provided a solid foundation for further investment, operational development and the expansion of its service offering to support sustainable, long-term growth.

Since joining the group

Since joining Wolfgang Capital, our focus has been on strengthening Climatix's leadership, establishing the operational foundations for growth and embedding a culture of health, safety and professional excellence throughout the business.

  1. 01

    Strengthening Leadership & Management

Within the first 90 days of joining Wolfgang Capital, we recognised the importance of appointing strong, experienced leadership to support Climatix's growth ambitions. This led to the appointment of Steve Pinkney as Managing Director in June 2026, bringing over 30 years of experience delivering high-profile engineering projects across the UK.

His appointment introduced a fresh perspective, greater operational discipline and a more structured approach to business management, building on the existing team's technical expertise and establishing a stronger foundation for sustainable, long-term growth.

  2. 02

    Building Operational Foundations for Growth

Developing the management structure, internal systems and operational processes to improve project governance, resource planning and delivery performance. These improvements are establishing a more professional, scalable business capable of managing increasing workloads and more complex projects.

  3. 03

    Embedding Health, Safety & Compliance

Building on the experience and leadership of the newly appointed Managing Director, we have introduced a stronger focus on health, safety and compliance throughout the business. Drawing on established practices from highly regulated engineering sectors, we are strengthening operational governance, improving working standards and embedding a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
